Stop for a moment and breathe...

Working full-time, developing independent projects like ULTRAD or Chapter Two… it's often a hectic life. The days stretch on, the weeks fly by, and despite the energy invested, the results aren't always commensurate with the effort. There are, of course, precious moments, like yesterday morning's laundry workshop, where sharing and connecting give meaning. But you also have to know when to stop.
Today, I felt that need. The need to slow down, to settle down, to breathe.
I went for a walk in the Jardins d'O in Nismes, a place I'm discovering now, almost two years after buying my little house in Olloy. A house without a garden, due to lack of funds and the conviction that the wooded wonders of this region would be more than enough. Because even if I had one, I could never have competed with the beauty of the surrounding woods, or with this municipal park, so rich in tree species, so peaceful at this time of year. The autumn colors, the gentle air… everything invites you to pause.
This moment did me good. It allowed me to reconnect with what truly matters. With that inner breath we sometimes forget when we're chasing after time.
I'm thinking of all those who, like me, juggle multiple activities. Often out of passion. Sometimes out of necessity. And I have no lessons to impart. Just a sharing: that of a simple, restorative moment that gave me renewed energy.
Perhaps sometimes taking two or three hours for oneself – even on a Sunday – can allow one to do better afterwards. To continue with more clarity, more calm.
It's not always possible. But when it is, it's invaluable.
